Welcome to The Gemini Boat Race 2022
This year’s crews contain talent from 10 different nations, including 13 Olympians, some straight off the plane from Tokyo
On behalf of The Boat Race Company, welcome to The Gemini Boat Race 2022!
The Boat Race, was one of the first large scale events to be cancelled in 2020, and was relocated to Ely last year. We are very grateful for the effort of everyone involved to make that race happen.
However, it is great to be back on the Tideway, racing between Putney and Mortlake on the Championship course for the 167th Men’s Boat Race and the 76th Women’s Boat Race.
The Gemini Boat Race has a unique place in the British psyche, attracting the interest of millions of people worldwide and over 250,000 spectators on the banks of the Thames. This year’s races promise to be very exciting with crews comprising an incredible array of talent from 10 nationalities across all the squads, including 13 Olympians, some straight off the plane from Tokyo and many of them medal winners. The Blue Boat and reserve races should all be close-fought contests.
