From day one we have been solely focused on beating Cambridge on the 3rd of April 2022 and bringing the trophy back to Oxford.

The commitment, work ethic, and motivation displayed by every member of our team this year has been outstanding. We have held each other accountable and pushed ourselves to the highest standard. We have been aggressive in our approach to training and racing. We have been ambitious and never rested on our laurels. Everybody -from Olympic medallists to freshers -have bought into the program and worked to continuously raise the collective standard. This attitude and commitment contributed to developing an exceptional culture within the squad.

It has been a privilege to lead OUBC and see the development that everyone has made in their fitness, technique, and character. I am grateful to be teammates with all these guys who get along so well and will surely be friends for life. The last seven months have flown by -a testament to the camaraderie that exists both on and off the water.

This year, we have produced two exceptionally strong eights. A successful team is built from the bottom up, with the third eight pushing the second, and the second pushing the first. The depth of our team has been integral to our progress throughout the year and the high calibre of the Blue Boat and Isis.

We are tremendously excited to return to the Championship Course in London and showcase our speed. I have full confidence that the Blue Boat and Isis will triumph over Cambridge.
