Tassilo von Mueller

OUBC President

Being a part of this year’s squad has been immensely rewarding. From the first day, our focus has been on March 26th, and our goal has been nothing less than to win both races on that day. Everything we do has been with that goal in mind.

This year our team is a lot younger than the one I was part of last year. Although some might say we lack race experience, every member of the squad has shown an incredible attitude and hunger to become a stronger, faster and better athlete. The competition has been fierce and given our coaches Sean Bowden and Brendan Gliddon a considerable headache in trying to select the fastest Blue Boat and Isis boat.

It has been exciting to watch the team grow closer and build an exceptional team culture. People have forged friendships that will extend well beyond this season.

I am proud to have been entrusted with the position of President and it has been a privilege to be part of this year’s team. We are extremely excited to go into this final stretch of preparation for the race and to make the boats as fast as we can.
