Ollie Boyne
CUBC Men’s President
It has been the honour of a lifetime to lead the CUBC men this season. We have worked tirelessly for six months, proving ourselves as individuals and as a team. With selection battles won for some and lost for others, the Blue Boat and Goldie are now set, and the challenges faced by individuals throughout the season fade away as we devote our entire focus to the ultimate goal.
Our world-class coaching team of Rob Baker and Bill Lucas have pushed the limits of what we are able to achieve every step of the way. We have gone from strength to strength this season, with a successful set of wins over Oxford across the board at Fours Head; an incredibly tight and exciting Trial VIIIs race; and a tough but invaluable set of fixtures.
In my four years at CUBC, I have yet to see a team as willing to work to make changes as this year. I am confident that this tenacity will manifest itself on March 26th, and whatever the crews alongside us and conditions ahead of us, we will put on our best performance and showcase the very best of what Cambridge has to offer.
