We return to the Tideway with the momentum of a successful 2022 season and a new Boat Race record.

There were many new faces at the beginning of the season. We had a big job ahead of us, to build our team culture, make physiological and technical progress, and give these athletes the necessary experience and confidence to win the Boat Race.

As the only returning Blue on the team, I felt the responsibility to share my experience to the group. However, over the season, I have come to realise just how much these women are able to teach me and what they bring to CUBC. Athletes joining at all levels within the squad injected new competition that has driven everyone to reach new levels in training.

As we head into the final days before the race, we are enjoying reaping the rewards of the hard work we have put in since September. The crews are building confidence every day, and everyone is itching to get onto the start line. I’m proud of every Cambridge woman lining up on the start line on 26th March. They are all a part of the rich history of this race.
